~After working with Mikey Wright for a few months, honing skills and writing parts for existing songs, Umbilical Cord officially names their new drummer. Welcome to the madness, Mikey.
~Pics updated. Since it is hard to get Wig and Gahmstead (espeically Wig who HATES getting his picture taken) to pose for proper photos, the only pics up so far are my (the webmaster) sketches of Wig and Gahmstead and the custom XBox 360 faceplate a co-worker designed for the band. Coming soon, Wig's stick figure renditions of himself and his fellow bandmates and real photos.
~History updated. Just a short description of Umbilical Cord written by Wig himself but it mentions the origin of the name Umbilical Cord and the musical direction the band aims to take.

~After being led on for months - not to mention for the past week - Wig was informed today that Umbilical Cord will NOT be playing at the Joe Tilton Memorial Concert tomorrow. This a bullshit move since Joe's brother had been saying from day one that he wanted nothing more than to have Wig and Gahmstead play at the show and even requested a specific Tenacious D song which they spent ALL WEEK learning last minute, but it was Joe's cousin calling the shots. Still, as Joe's BROTHER Chris could've said "Listen, these guys are friends of mine and Joe's, I want them to play this song" But no, and now the guys are screwed out of their first show since Gahmstead's seinor year of high school. But check for more updates when the guys get back on their feet and I'm a little less bitter.
